Jazz Vespers Series

The Jazz Vespers Series at Pebble Hill began in 2002, inspired by a Pebble Hill program of the previous year, Faith in a New Key, led by Jazz pianist and Presbyterian minister, the Rev. Bill Carter and his Presbybop Quartet.

Forming a creative partnership with the CNY Jazz Arts Foundation, we have been offering jazz vespers four times a year, in conjunction with the Christian festivals and seasons of All Saints, Epiphany, Lent (“Blues” Vespers), and Pentecost.

The series offers a unique opportunity to people of all faiths in the central New York community to come together and share in the wonder of creative music-making in a setting widely known for its superb acoustics.
